Education, Virginia Department of -- Access information ranging from statistics and reports to curriculum and standards.

Science Museum of Virginia -- The Science Museum of Virginia, located in Richmond, is home to the Carpenter Science Theater, an IMAX DOME and Planetarium, and permanent and traveling science exhibitions.

Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center -- The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center is one of the top ten most visited aquariums in the nation. It is home to 800,000 gallons of aquariums, live animal habitats, more than 300 hands-on exhibits, 1/3 mile nature trail, 1/2 acre aviary, and an IMAX movie screen.

Virginia BioHistory -- Learn about significant milestones in the historical development of Virginia's biotechnology & medical technology industry.

Virginia Association of Science Teachers (VAST) -- The Virginia Association of Science Teachers, Inc. is a comprehensive professional organization dedicated to the advancement of science education for all. VAST supports an annual Professional Development Institute (PDI), recognizes teachers and educators through annual awards, and publishes a newsletter and journal.

Virginia Parent Teachers Association (PTA) -- The Virginia PTA's mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

Virginia Science Olympiad -- The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. These goals are accomplished through classroom activities, research, training workshops and the encouragement of intramural, district, regional, state and national tournaments.

Virginia Science Resource Network (VSRN) --The Virginia Science Resource Network (VSRN) is a gateway to science education resources throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The network is a service of the Virginia Academy of Science and the Science Museum of Virginia in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Education.
